Walk With Strength is a charity that host a Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Walk in Weyauwega, WI. The walk is a local event that was started by a 17 year old high school senior that was diagnosed with MS almost 9 years ago. Since the beginning I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the MS community. Through struggling with the newly diagnosis of MS, I soon realized having a support system was a key factor in trying to beat this disease. I reached out to family and friends to start. Their love and support was beyond measurable. I found there are a lot of people in the area who know someone that had MS. I realized I wanted to do something. I sat down with my family and some of my teachers from high school and I told them I wanted to start an awareness walk in Weyauwega. They all loved the idea, and quickly jumped on board with my idea. The first year we had so many people show up to our event, and raised over $5,500. I was so excited; I never would have expected it to turn out that great. I decided to them make it an annual event. Lets now fast forward 8 years, Walk With Strength has raised over $50,000 for the National MS Society – Wisconsin Chapter. All the money that is raised is then donated to the MS Society. They use it for research, prescription aid, scholarships, and much more. REGISTRATION FEE: $20 for ages 15 and over $15 for ages 5-14 Kids 4 and under we ask for a free will donation. BASKET RAFFLE: We will be doing a basket raffle also the day of. Our supporters over the years have put together some amazing baskets together.
